It does look like a bolt that may have come from the gun port???

More info:
Thread is 5/8-18 UNF and the head is 1-1/8 size. I would think the UNF would pretty much preclude the hull fittings, and lead toward either the engine, transmission, or differential. Or it may be off some accessory that was in the carrier. Perhaps it is one of the bolts that hold the diff to the hull? The manual lists those as 3/4". My parts manual is at work, but the bolt looks like one of the ones that hold the differential adapter to the casing. They have a shank. Last edited by rob love; 09-07-15 at 07:23. |

Rob, as you know a carrier has big holes in the top and little ones in the bottom because of which they are very good at being handy bins (I think they are called dumpsters in North America) It (the bolt) doesn't look like it belongs at all unless, as you say, it is from an accessory (or something has been modified)
My darling wife used to put the rubbish bag in mine ![]() (just to show how much she loved it!)
