The one in Netherlands has a lot of problems, and bits missing that hard to find. Whats with the shiney rivets in the armour?? New rivets or coach bolts?? ![]() Could be an armoured money pit, especially with stripped lump, like to do my own and see what im playing with! ![]() Waiting for the thumbs up on a few being brought in, rough, not so rough and good condition! Been told these are a better option as not got taxes and transport to worry bout getting them here. Will fit on the 71/2 tonne recovery truck also so a nice jolly jaunt out for the day and its mine! Got two on south coast im working on too! Belong to a trust and trying to convince them that they would look better in my "trust" ![]() One was a runner a few years ago and other they were keeping as spares, in my book no such thing as a "spares" carrier! ![]()

If its the carrier in the hedge your wasting your time... Kev and I both tried for sea to save that carrier and offered good money for it... Think Ben also tried, but who knows they may like your accent :

Strung me along for months.... Carrier with a wrecked engine stripped and up ended in the rear hull.... All the track is shot lying in the rear hull too.... Axle and wheels are all there though and it's a mk1... Will need new track guards and floor to make it safe.......if its the same one ;-)

Yeah it won't be an easy resto that one... Shaun's is a fully restored mk2* and is a minter, he has advertised it in the for sale section, and on milweb.

I made no mention of the Scout: I assumed (not having been the MCH Expert Examiner for some years now) that all was 'hunkie dory' with its export. Indeed, I've been contributing to a private email exchange about its history (with the current owner) for some time. My post was SIMPLY to ensure that the intending exporter of the carrier that is the subject of this thread was alerted to the MCH Act and the possible implications of not following that path. Not everyone, especially overseas, knows of its provisions. Better to know than get caught up in red tape. Mike C |
