It certainly looks to be based on a British carrier. Lots wrong that would need sorting to get it back to MK1 spec but some nice bits too.
I understand that part of its "problem" is its quite a long way from any main transfer points for shipping, getting carriers loaded onto a truck or into a container and moved to port can get expensive quite quickly, you then have to pay to get it home. Once you get it here you have to pay customs and get it home. I can help a little from my experience with the Scout if needed. I can't comment on the advert itself or its its real. Ben |

Hi Paul, I can verify the add was and is genuine. I spoke to the owner who is an elderly chap and they did have on their farm for many years. I think it's way over priced for what is left. Transport would also be a very costly exercise from its present location. Not much on the inside is original. I guess it would still be a good starting platform at the "right" price. As far as I know it is still for sale.

It will need to go through the Moveable Cultural Heritage application and approval process before export. Don't take the risk of it being confiscated for lack of appropriate paperwork!

The Scout did get all the appropriate approval before it left Australia, including the movable cultural heritage approval. As Mike has said it's better to get it done correctly first. Colin is also correct in that transport can get expensive, there are better prospect carriers available for more realistic money.
