Hi, about battery tray, could there be that the ford cab had the battery behind the passenger seat ?
there is evidence of a braket with heavy corrosion on the top of it. but since it a chev frame, there is also remains of a braket on the frame... id like to see/find pictures of what its supposed to look like. :headscratch: Last edited by patallen; 08-09-12 at 17:35. Reason: typo |

The gun tractor had the battery in the cab... and that looks like the base for the battery box.

The base and the holes in floor look like those on a Pattern 12, wonder if this is a carry over from that.
Cheers Phil

The chassis, motor, wooden steering wheel all say Chev, but the rad mesh and mirror arms say Ford. If it is a Chev wireless then the 'S' on the door should be a 'W/T'. The checker plate on the floor looks too early for a '44 Chev. Has someone used some Ford body bits on this truck?
