I had the dubious pleasure of driving Half-Safe at Corowa in 1999 thanks to Bob Dimer who trucked it over from Western Australia. I say dubious because. as you sit sofar back from the bow with all that extra cabin built forward, it was a handful to drive. No we didn't take her for a swim.
Not too many people can say that they have driven the only vehicle ever to circumnavigate the earth on both land and sea under its own power. Thanks for the experience, Bob. (RIP) I'll find some photos one day and post them up. Rick
