If we are talking CDSW and not CDFW as mentioned in the first post? Rory Ballard ( noted Morris expert) is doing a ground up restoration on one. Like in the previous picture. He's situated near Southampton. Email me for his contact details. ronpier@talk21.com

Tobin
The owner is Richard Campbrell who lives in County Durham, You may have had a PM from S Latherton who confirmed the above to me and gave the NEMVC Secretary’s phone No as 0191 528 6252 Here's the club's website http://www.nemvc.org.uk/about_us/index.htm You may also find some help in a series of 1:76 scale drawings by Mr G.W. Lacey [got mine in 2003 - for modelling, not restoration] 315A South Lane, New Malden, Surrey, KT3 5RR Here's a few more photos of Mr Campbell's vehicle Enjoy, Noel |

These CDSWs really are superb looking vehicles. I really enjoyed seeing yours, Tobin, at Beltring. Sadly you weren't around at the time.
The one pictured above appeared, albeit very briefly, in the film Atonement. Here are some are some more pictures of it: http://www.ianhardy.net/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=6471 http://www.flickr.com/photos/68171103@N00/187244544/ http://entertainment.webshots.com/ph...34109588eFvOXZ http://entertainment.webshots.com/ph...34109588UEqsPV |

No Alan. Rory's is still only a rolling chassis. I'll take a picture next time I visit.

Thanks for the update - with the picture coming via Richard Notton I had assumed it was Rory's. Looking again, I see it's the same one I posted links about earlier.
Changing tack slightly, another of the CDSWs appearing in Atonement was a Bofors LAAT version. It appears to have emigrated: http://entertainment.webshots.com/ph...98910700pMMFNE http://entertainment.webshots.com/ph...34109588MyMTic (background) http://www.flickr.com/photos/m_a_b/2...l-31211186@N00 http://www.flickr.com/photos/sakini-cz/2695647984/ http://www.tnmc.cz/walkaround/morris_comercial.php You gotta love those fried eggs! A Czech company has recently released a model of the CDSW LAAT, which is undoubtedly based on this example - I've seen the model being criticised for having lockers that are too tall, and I suspect this survivor has replica bodywork. Another seen regularly on the British circuit also has replica bodywork. Pity we can't get to see an original example. |

Yes Hanno, that's the progress I've been watching! It's much further on now of course, and all done in a 8'x4' shed
