Engine and Bellhousing is NOT a CMP.... neither is the tranny with the incorporated Emergency brake........ I doubt that you would use it again on a CMP....... Now that modern transmission could be used on a C15 2 wheel drive without a transfer case. BUT NOT on the typical 4x4 as the modern tranny is too long and the resulting driveshaft between the tranny and t-case ridiculously short and would need a machine shop to fabricate...$$$$
Save that brake master cylinder.... it can most likely be resleeved/rebuilt. You did save the axles didn't you.....? The two heavy cast steel brackets at the extreme end of the rear frame should be saved. Boob

Eric..
Bob Carrier mentioned this.. Save the heavy floor plate of the cab it is probably the rare dot and dash diamond plate that is not made anymore..... I agree..what you have IS the rare dot and dash plate....save even the little bits and pieces of that floor plate.. It is rare and hard to get for restorers and they can use even little bits to match in to a butchered restoration.. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I think that is a full syncro transmission, they can be fitted to work and they sure shift nice I'm told.

If you're thinking of the SM420, it is dimensionally longer/larger than the original transmission, making the already short intermediate shaft really tiny. I thought about it because the SM420 should be more than up to the torque/power of the 216/235/261 unless they are hot rodded to the extreme, but I gave up because of the added length, maybe I'm just chicken.
