There will be a serial number stamped in the firewall, but this just identifies the basic truck cab serial, and gives no clue to the actual variant. Although these 1 Ton vans had the model code 11Y, the cab sheetmetal is stamped 11T for a 3 Ton truck.
11T: 1941 3 Ton truck
81: 1938-42 221ci 85hp engine
DD: Department of Defence? (ie not civilian truck?)
1118: Individual serial No of cab.
