As far as reference books,

For Australian Carriers, you can't go past "Australian Military Equipment Profiles - Volume 2 Local Pattern Carriers" by Mike Cecil. It's getting harder to find now - as is volume 1 about 25 Pounders, but well worth the effort.

For Overseas Manufactured Carriers - Nigel Watson's series is ofcourse the way to go.

If you are thinking of or about to restore an Austrlaian Carrier, you will need to get yourself a set of Australian Manuals. These are available from a number of sources as reproductions. This will mean that you don't need to worry about getting them dirty in the workshop.

There are two different sets of manuals The first set are better suited to the earlier LP2 carriers, and obviously the later for the LP2A carriers, however they will do fine for earlier carriers too. Each set has three volumes - Driver's instruction, Spare Parts List and Workshop Manual.

These manuals are now quite easy to find copies of and an absolutely invaluable reference in restoraton.

Anyhow, that's my advice.
