I'm currently swapping out the master cylinder in the C60S for a sleeved reconditioned one.
I was wondering whether anyone has done this job recently - the process is to drop out the brake booster, undo the two studs under the master cylinder, undo the hydraulic connections on the rear and remove. The complication is the pushrod in the front is, unlike the Ford version captive, being held into the front of the master cylinder by a washer which is held in place with a circlip. The other end of the pushrod is threaded and screws into a floating nut in the reactionary linkage. Removing the cylinder was relatively easy, but do you think I can get the thread engaged back into the floating nut? I know it's just a matter of patience and luck but has anyone done this recently and do you have any advice?
