The problem with using the modern ones is getting the grease gun cable to stay on while you pump in the grease. Some of the spots are almost impossible to get a hand or fingers in and work the gun.

Brian Asbury had or hopefully still has the original gun adaptor that slips on the original nipples. It should mate up to a modern grease gun hose.
