Default rear wheel lubrication

HI ALL,
recrntly I have done the bracks in my carrier. I ddid put some greas on the bearings when I put them back, and here is the qustion- how does it lubricated? only thru the oil bolt on the wheel? how much oil shuls I put in?
there is a lot of place for a lot of oil. Im gussing that that the oil "thrown"
when the wheel spins, still, huw much oil??
