Default M38A1 axe...

While doing some dealing with an American acquaintance of mine, he inquired if I had any extra axe brackets available.
I had to admit that I had heard of, but not seen one on Canadian jeeps.
Did I miss something here? I know the US jeep had the ax mounted on the passenger rear fender. Did we ever use this location or were ours relegated to some other location?
Understandably, the radio mounts , if so equipped, would obviously necessitate relocation of same if so equipped.
Looking for answers from our expert panel.
