I see the nomenclature of the vehicle is: Ambulance. No. 2. Mark I/L/

This question has been asked before (in relation to Carriers). I have seen and understand No1, No2, etc, MkI, MkII, etc, *, ** and so on in relation to various vehicles, weapons(

) and equipment, but what does the /L/ mean?
