I found 2 of these in the back of my M38A1 when I bought it. Can anyone shed any light on what they are?

Not part of the 'upper' fixtures on an M38A1. Were they lying around loose in the back? If so, they could be anything including scrap metal.

I thought it might have come from another vehicle or sub assembly but it could very well be scrap metal.

I guess that these pieces must be scrap. However can anyone tell what vehicle this radiator cover comes from. I can't seem to get more info than the NSN which is 2540-00-735-6359 and Part number 7356359. I have included pictures of the materials tag and the cover.

The metal pieces go between the back frame where the spring reinforcement goes for the recoilless rifle (The big coil springs).

The cover is a winter rad cover for the M38A1. Simundson. |

The cover was worth the $10.00 I paid for it, and I now have some trading material material for someone who has a 106 model. |

And here I was thinking that the metal was for winching...run the cable between the ends and over the metal rod so as not to dig into the dirt etc...

			just a thought...
