Default Any Cultural Studies Academics here?

Hello All,

Us military restorers are a pretty diverse bunch. I am just wondering if that extends to there being any other Cultural Studies researchers on the forum? You never know....

Kind Regards
Lionel

G'day Jack,

Not so much wanting to know - more like being able to converse with another bird of the same feather!

Well at least another Cultural Studies person. A possible improvement on that would be to converse with a Cultural Studies person who appreciates the influence of Social Constructionism. Even better would be a Social Constructionism Realist person who works within the field of Cultural Linguistics. However, that is my being exceptionally picky! Working in isolation is starting to send me further around the twist

Kind Regards
Lionel

Talking With an apology.....

Gentlemen: I was up very early this morning, facing numerous catastrophes at work, but just happened to log in before I went out the door.
After reading this entree, I have to say....this is one of the funniest I ever had the the chance to read on this forum, from both sides.
You made my day!
Thanks Lionel and the commentators......cause I still haven't figured this out myself!
With apologies to Lionel.....Robert

Only too true Cliff - Socrates is attributed as saying, "The more i learn, the less i know" I actually prefer Mark Twain's take “The more I learn about people, the more I like my dog.”

I might add and working on my military vehicles

Kind Regards
Lionel

Hello Bruce and Company,

If there are any insomniacs here I may be able to cure it by providing an explanation of my field of study - i won't charge too much

"Once upon a time their was a man called Lev Semyonovich Vygotsky who wrote about Thought & Language - he also wrote a book called Fundamentals of Defectology that is widely unknown in the Disability Sector. .... are you asleep yet? Then came a man called
Alexander Romanovich Luria who described a method of study called Romantic Science ... Are your eyelids getting heavy yet? Then along came Wittgenstein and Harré ... then came along the "Vygotsky School" of Social Constructionism - Realists"... Then came along the "Cultural Turn within Cultural Studies

Snore - snore ... Damn I should have got your bank account details first .... when will I Learn

Kind Regards
Lionel
