Hi ron. I didn't realise it was that early of serial number. Just out of interest, does any one know approx how many lp1 carriers were made before they changed to lp2's? I'm assuming this carrier is an lp2? I should of had a good look when I was last there Ron . Anyway good luck with the sale Ron, I hope it finds a good home.
Regards Nathan

Thumbs up AMEP Volume 2 LP Carriers 1939-1945

Nathan,

158 LP1, 2 experimental/'transitional' model carriers (Hulls 159 and 160) then LP2s.

It's all in my book 'Local Pattern Carriers 1939 to 1945', published in the early 1990s. (AMEP Volume 2)

Copies are available from me. PM me for details. (Yes, this is a blatant promotional posting for my own publication .... if Clive can do it, so can I!)

Well, thanks, Bob, but smooth talking, slick salesmanship has never been something I've aspired to.

I'm just a humble researcher/writer scratching out a living in retirement working for my wife, living in a little house down by the river in Spokane .....
