Default ME 109 toured Victoria , Australia

Sometime early in WW2 , a shot down German ME 109 fighter aircraft was shipped out to Victoria. It toured around the rural cities and towns, raising money for war bonds or similar. I know it was in Sale in East Gippsland , on display at a garage .

Does anyone have any more info ? Is it the example that ended up at the AWM ?

Mike

Default Me109

The Me109 was displayed at Preseneys, the ford dealership in Sale for a while.
The family still has the injector pump from it and another collector I know say's he has some bits from it.
It also toured around with V2 rocket.

the photo is the V2 in yarram
