F-60S Tipper - British?

2 Attachment(s)
I was looking at my 1941 Cab13 F-60S tipper when I noticed the nameplate on the hydraulic lift. It was dirty and I had to clean it up. It notes Edward Brothers (Tippers) Ltd. from Bolton. I thought that it was Bolton, Ontario. When I got home, I looked it up. So, it wasn't Bolton, Ontario but Bolton, UK. So, how did a UK tipper kit get on a 1941 Cab13 F-60S if it never left Canada? Anyone got any ideas or history on Edward Brothers (Tippers) Ltd?

Richard,

Do you have anymore pictures of the truck? I don't know about the tipper gear, but manufactured jan 1941 does not make sense for a 13cab. The first cab 13's were in production in 1942, so it could be that some panels on your truck were sourced from another CMP....or that someone swapped the cab at some stage.
Are you sure it never left Canada?

Alex,

When I first retrieved the truck, this thread was started:

I would like to see if the engine # corresponds to the name plate. As well, I will check on the window sill area to see if any data plates were mounted there and removed. I will also check the spring clip restraints on the doghouse.

I have more pictures on my computer at work.
