When the grain and seed silos down the street from me closed down and were being dismantled, there were three or four Ford axles (CMP if I know anything about CMPs) that they had been using to drive conveyor belts.

It seems that several industrial suppliers used the Ford style axle assemblies for industrial applications. Forty years ago I remember seeing Wayne street sweepers using something similar to drive the gutter brooms.

Quite true.

This 2 foot gauge Sugar Cane Locomotive was built in Sydney using a War-surplus Ford Differential.
