Dodge D15 in Canadian colours
Dear experts,
The Canadian produced Dodge D15/D60 is a rare bird in Canadian colours. One picture of one in NWE 1944/45 can be found at https://www.noviomagus.nl/Gastredact.../Image438.html I believe it is a First Canadian Army HQ (AGRA?) vehicle, but the AOS of 193 over what seems an artillery patch puzzles me. Any idea out there, please! Thanks in advance, Martin |

Also missing is the white bar along the bottom of the AoS. This compiled chart illustrates 193 with 8th AGRA.

Hi Martin,
Small world! I saw your message on HMVF and also Missing-lynx. If you are looking for more pictures of Canadian used D15's and D60's than I think you should have a thorough look around here on the forum as I am positive I have seen some over the years. D60L's show up in several pictures taken during the Liberation of Holland 1945; in Canadian service, British, but also used for the food transports of Operation Faust. Post-war several ended up in the Dutch army; ones with the Canadian Steel bodies, as well as ones with British wooden bodies. The census numbers usually start with "53" of "55" which might indicate they are from British stocks. D60S dump trucks....similar story. A lot of them show British markings, but some are definitely Canadian. Also a number ended up in Dutch army stocks postwar. D15....pictures of these with clear Canadian markings are rare....but they do exist. The one you posted at the start of this thread is the clearest I have been able to find......but Steve Guthries book "Camouflage & Markings of Canadian Military Vehicles" has a picture of another one clearly marked with a maple leaf. If they were ex-British vehicles....maybe.

There are a couple of pictures of a D15 in Dordrecht, but I still haven't been able to confirm if this one is in Canadian service.
