Default CMPs

On a recent trip out east to see Barry Churcher as Barry is doing a few repairs on a HUP for me, prior to shipping, (Barry was kind enough to give me tour of the old GM yards in Whitby, where the CMP's where assembled, a real history lesson, then it was off to see Brian Asbury for parts, (had to go back three times, hard to stay away from his warehouse) Brian gave me the run down on the Levy Bros in Toronto, great stories and photo's.

I stopped off in Alberta at the old Stan Reynolds museum to see the line up old CMP's, saw a nice 12 cab and at least 50, 13 cab CMP's in this yard, a row of Fords, a row of Chevrolets, a few tanks, artillary pieces, Dodge 4x4's, GMC 6x6's, a DUK, and other miltiary vehilces my understanding is these are for sale and are being sold off during the summer months.

check out the photos

It was a real pleasure having Gordon down for a visit and I think he will be back down for the OMVA show at the end of the month. When I talked to him today he said the temperature -6C. No wonder he wants to come back here where it was 30C today.
