Default VE Day +75 Years

Hi All

This is something I'd been thinking about to take some pictures of my CMPs on the 8th of May 2020 to commemorate the 75 Anniversary of VE Day. Someone over on HMVF beat me to it with a good post and real good video of his child driving a miniature Jeep the next generation of MV enthusiast.

But I did go out and take these shots this morning, fun part was backing the two big trucks back in the driveway as our drive is not wide enough pass on. Those little mirrors are challenging.

In normal times I've been trying to take one or other of the trucks to Memorial Day Parades and Ceremonies. In our little town they always read out the names of those who had served and those who had died during WWII from town and they would ask the WWII Veterans to step forward to be honored. Then one year not long ago there was nobody left to step forward. One of my trucks was sitting in the back ground having been in the short parade and it occurred to me that taking the trucks that served to the ceremonies was a way of remembering those men and women that served.

With all of the Memorial Day Parades being cancelled for this May this is probably as close to being in a parade as I'll get this year.

Cheers Phil
