Default Does Anybody have a old fan belt handy

I have bought new fan belts within the last couple of years crossed the part number over to Gates number TR28445 which lists the following dimensions effective length 44.5” (1130mm) Outside Circumference 45.08” (1145mm) with Angle of 36 degrees.

I can not find my spare belt right now, does anybody have a spare that they could check to see if these dimensios look correct?

The Gates web site is http://www.gates.com/catalogs/index....ocation_id=524

I think Gates belts are available pretty much world wide.

Cheers

you would think someone on the Forum would know the size of a chev fan belt, maybe in the end we will all have the size and part number.

Default fan belts

Hi Martin

I was peering inot the darkened hole that is the engine bay of the C8 only the other day.... and noticed that the fan belt number said B40....

I thought it odd, but the fenner numbered B40 belt is the one that I've been fitting to Jeeps for years....

I have to say that as yet I have not removed the both of them for a test measurement, but it would be convenient wouldn't it...

regards

Nick

I'm back from Arizona and looked up the belt that works on my 43 C8a. Dayco Top Cog Gold Label 24440 (17A1120)
The local tractor service shop had it in stock.

Default slightly different #

Dayco top cog gold label 22435, I just replaced mine with the above # as it was the # on the original belt. It works fine with room for adjustment on the generator.
