Default Round six of "Name that Vehicle!"

Good evening everyone! This is your host of "Name that Vehicle" Our most recent contest saw Brad Mills correctly identify the Israeli Defence Force M730A2 with the Chaparral surface-to-air missle launcher mounted. Well done Brad!
Young Brad Mills hails from Truro, Nova Scotia. Mr. Mills, an unemployed Cod and Hake Fisherman spends a lot of his time these days visiting Halifax where he divides his time between trolling for divorcees at the Casino Nova Scotia (don't miss Colin James, Jan. 28th and 29th. Let me know if the concert is sold out, I can hook you up!) and panhandling on the Granville Mall.
The "Name that Vehicle" staff caught up with Mr. Mills just outside the Halifax Citadel where he was quoted as saying:
"I don't care aboot no American beer bye, I've got me a two four of Schooner in my car. Now if someone could clear all these stupid pipers and drummers out of here, I'll see aboot a tatoo!"

(cut to commercial while the host stops laughing)

Thank you Mr. Mills for those words of wisdom! Now onto episode six of "Name that Vehicle! In tonight's show we're going to get a little more esoteric in an attempt to make the contest a touch more difficult. For tonight's answer I want the contestants to identify the vehicle on the far left of the picture.
Contestants ready? Hands on buzzers? Richard! please plug Brad's buzzer back in! Thank you! Lets play:

Sean, you are very, very close. However, there are small differences between crawlers depending upon which factory they were built. I've discussed your answer with the judges and they've told me if you can correctly identify which factory the crawler in the picture was built, you will be declared the winner.

Good luck!

Hmmmmmm, tricky. Could be, Chelyabinsk, Kharkov, Kirov or Stalingrad.

Since you asked, Mr. Vanderveen says this, below.

Tractor on the left is a chTZ-S-65 Stalinets from the Chelyabinsk factory

the next one could be a STZ-5-2TB from the Stalingrad factory it appears to have a the grill guard missing if I'm right

the truck far right I'm going for a GAZ-51A

any beer left?

Dont think its a GAZ, compare rear mudguards. Picture is either WW2 or Korea. I still go for an ex- french contract truck in german hands, Dodge then?
Ok lets go with Korea

how about a Dodge T234, 15000 supplied to China between 1944 and 1946 rear body mud gaurds look wrong though

Друг, вы правильно!

(Friend, you are correct!)

Sean, the judges have relented and have named you the winner for being the first to come up with Stalinetz tractor. There was reluctance on the part of some of the judges due to the fact that some authorities refer to the pictures as a CH T65 and don't mention Stalinetz at all. This particular crawler was built at the Cheyabinsk factory and this picture was captioned T 65. In any event, even if there are small descrepancies in terminology or even small cosmetic differences between the several factories that these crawlers were built in. they all basically refer to the same crawler.

Well done Sean and stay tuned for the next episode of:

" Назовите тот корабль !"

Dang Cyrillic won't print. Mr Spinning-Bull! Can you enable Cyrillic on this website?

Hey Pete, unfortunately there is no date to go along with this picture. Korea is within the realm of possibility as the P.R.C. and the C.C.C.P. were still friendly then.
I identified the damaged truck tractor as a STZ 5 also. The truck on the right I haven't I.D.'d yet.
The judges have awarded Snowtractor the prize of four delicious icy cold Lone Star beers, the "National Beer of Texas" as he was the first to mention Stalinetz tractor. However, my stockpile of unclaimed prizes is increasing daily, so c'mon down and set a spell!

Default Grill badge....

...the grill badge is pretty definitive in your pic and the pics I have. That said I can say with certainty that the tractor was made in Russia and by a gal named Sonya and her co-worker Olga. Their immediate shift manager was a fellow with one arm named Petr.

Also: The plant served Borscht that day in the cafeteria, the shift manager wore cheap cologne and had Vodka on his breath. Olga had a large mole on her upper lip, and they all hummed the "Internationale".

Amazing what you find in one pic, no!?!
