The truck is owned by Andy Beevers and this was one of its first outings. Sign writing is due soon. A really unique and superb restoration!

Well done Andy!

Two lovely CMP's for sale on Milweb

Quote:
Ford and Chevrolet Canada 1942
Two CMP restoration projects for sale.
Canadian Chevrolet with fuel bowser tank.
Ford Canada truck for carrying troops.
With original paint and documents.
http://milweb.net/webvert/a3239/93877

I don't immediately recognize the type of fuel bowser. Usually the fuel bowsers seem to have a slightly larger tank with two fillers, cabinets for storage and support for a canvas tarp. Any thoughts?

https://www.generaaltjes.nl/Adverten...-cab-13-canada there is a nice project for sale here, a ex danish cab 13 CGT with flat bed rear body in what looks to be nice condition but partly disassembled, and including a 12 cab 7A1 CGT body. Not sure if its in Belgium or Netherlands the translation was messing up abit

Default Triler hitch

odd that he has both styles of trailer hitch mounts mounted on the same truck. I need a set like the upper ones that the Hitch spring is not mounted on.

I fully agree that having both types of bracket on one truck is unusual. The "in frame" mounts for the hitch spring appear to be placed over the nuts securing the "below frame" mounts as there is an unusual gap between frame and "in frame" brackets. Also, there don't seem to be many nuts inside the "in frame" brackets securing them in place.
On CMPs, I expect to see below frame mounts on trucks where the in frame interfere with other equipment such as access ladder for the C15A Wire5, distribution taps on the water truck.
Or perhaps someone did this to provide extra/double reinforcement to the holes in the rear of the frame..... I have seen those holes damaged when people tried to use a tow cable in an un-reinforced hole.

The ad in Dutch notes he is offering an extra set of lowered hitch mounts. Obviously the truck originally had the hitch mounts in the chassis, the lowered mounts are only shown to see if they fit.

Read more about this CGT here: http://www.mapleleafup.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1203
The rear body was refabricated as it was missing like on so many FATs.
