Default Polish honoured for actions at Arnhem

Today, the 'Militaire Willemsorde' for the Polish Parachute Brigade and the 'Bronzen Leeuw' for General Sosabowski (posthume) were presented during a ceremony at Den Haag. The medals were presented by Queen Beatrix. A total of 120 Polish veterans and 40 widows from those killed in 1944 travelled from all over the world to attend the ceremony.

This token of appreciation for their actions was long overdue.

Default Too Right!

Gene Hackman made the "General" larger than life. But the facts are the Poles still went ahead with their jump when they knew all surprise was lost and the likelihood of surviving was negligable. They still jumped in to support the boots on the ground. If that is not the dictionary discription of courage , then it should be.
Congrats you Polish Dervishes on decorations well and truly earned.
