Maple Leaf Insignia-Italy 1944
Does anyone recall the color of the maple leaf in what colored squares for:
-1st Canadian Field Artillery Regiment -Divisional Headquaters 1st Cdn Infantry Division And what were the numerals and their color for each of the above Thanks in advance Garry |

Formation sign for both was a gold or yellow maple leaf centred on a red background (square) Arm of Service marking: 1st Fd Regt, RCHA - the figures '42' in white centred on a red over blue background (square) HQ 1st Cdn Inf Div - the figures '40' in white centred on a black background (square) Hope this helps. An interesting footnote taken from the Hamilton Spectator. The road signs were still in place in 1946, a bit faded but still there.
