Default Local Blitz's IV

Two Chev cab 13 Blitz's here. Pretty sad state really. I had a look at them for some usable bits for my C15A.

Default The other

Even sadder. Now, did any Blitz's come from the factory with sun visors? It's the first one I've seen.

Default The one with the 'R' prefix

I haven't seen an R106 before... it is a RAAF delivery. R101 was a bomb derrick on the same chassis and interestingly one which was 7 earlier in the series (and same contract) was built 6 days later as a R102.

I don't have details of which body either of these were but it would be reasonable to assume they may have been dropside steel GS bodies.

Another little mystery just waiting to be solved.

Elegant looking rear suspension!

Looks like there's a retrofit winch too.

Poor old thing.

Looks like a Sunshine roof too, on a medium wheelbase version of what could have been a tipper once.
