Default Ghurkhas in Malaya

Hi Guys

During one of my trips to Malaya I came across a plaque in an old junk shop in KL which had a number of Ghurkha hat Badges fixed to it. I have always wondered what the significance of this plaque was and I suspect it may have hung in a mess at some time signifying the Ghurkha serving in Malaya. I am wondering if any of our MLU members, particularly any British guys who may have served with the Ghurkhas may be able to throw some light on it for me. It is an interesting plaque and it would mean more if I knew more about it.

Cheers

Tony
