Question Question on RCAC markings

Hello!

Can someone help me with a question regarding the markings on my M37CDN? On my doors I have uncovered a square, a triangle, and a diamond worn at different times in its career. I know these stand for “B”, “A”, and “HQ” squadrons. What I am curious about, is the colour of the markings. I have seen them in yellow, red, and white, with all those on mine being white. Why the difference in colour?
