Not sure about that, it does have the "NL" sticker on the hood, but also British flags.
A close up picture of the data and instruction plates would settle this.

Default French Dodge WC Ambulance on Kijiji Ottawa

I noticed this Dodge S7 or S8 MA 51 ambulance on Kijiji Ottawa and can't help but wonder how it ended up in Canada? Apparently they were post-war conversions of the WC54 and 56 for the French and Belgian armed forces. It kinda reminds me of a newspaper van.

I remember seeing this truck about 10 years ago at the garage in Douglas, Ontario. At that time the Perkins 4 cylinder in it was cooked and they were asking even more money for it. It looks as though it has gone downhill since.

I lightened up the pic from the ad. The image from the Ecpad site was taken in Indochina.

Default dodge

hi jason.25 years ago i had that dodge at the service station.it was sold for around 5000.oo.that was a lot for it back then.supposedly vic morreau from arnprior had imported from france where he is from.for years it was used as a camper .it was in arnprior for years.4 cylinder perkins in it then ran like a swiss watch.at the time it was painted a wine colour.it was allways around town.i had thought at one time it was one of those knockdown ambulances.i think i was wrong about that .the years have not done it very good.it was mint at one time.regards jim.

Thanks Jim!

I thought that you would most likely remember it.

Hopefully someone saves it but i think that the purchase price and condition may scare most folks off.

Would be nice if somebody with both the cash and fabrication facilities scooped this up and knocked off a few dozen exact copies.

I live close by to the place and he has a few other Jeeps, Iltis and other stuff in his yard.

I know that he bought the tubs at an estate auction out near Alexandria where the old guy had 4 or 5 M151 tubs and the running gear pulled out of them (on pallets). There were barrels and barrels of military clothing.

Default M101 Trailers on Kijiji

In case some is trying to find one:

http://halifax.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...AdIdZ186492912
From the listing:
"I have a few trailers left and they are $795 to $595 depending on condition."

Note: I have nothing to do with this, simply came across the ad.

Default Chrysler Prototype for Sale near Ottawa

This is a rare one...note that they are accepting "Best Offer". This one of two in Ottawa -the other is at the S&P Museum. There is supposed to be one out on the Left Coast. The story goes that six were made - one was used for destructive testing, the other five sold as scrap. Others on this forum have some knowledge as to where the others are located.

Caused a bit of interest in these trucks when it was posted.

I fanyone wants to see the vehicle, it is parked near my gagrage and is owned by a friend. The truck is a runner 316 cu in Dodge engine, made of aluminum and believe it or not actually floats. I believe the price is in the $16 -$17K range. Nice unique truck. Gilles
