Default seat back

Can anyone tell me how far back the seat frame is bent, I plan to strighten it out and cut the welds where the back pivits. Just need to know how far to bend them back!

Default Seat back angle

Hi Jason

I posted some pictures of the seats http://canadianmilitarypattern.com/PostingPage2.html look at the top of the page for the links to the seat photos.

Just went out to the barn an put the angle gauge on the HUP seat with the truck floor sitting level the seat pan is angled 7 degrees from horizontal while the back is leaning back 16 1/2 degrees from vertical.
