Default carrier armour thread

Ok folks many of us out there are going to have to pre fab armour for our carriers, it would be sacralidge to cut more up, i have many contacts in the sheet metal industry and have access to water jets, and cnc machines, along with a pal who is a qualified CAD engineer. the puprose of this thread is for those who have armour on their carriers to post up the exact measurements (to within 1mm) of each pannel. on the pannels we would need to know where the holes are so I could plot them for the water jet, this will be a time consuming exercise but in the long term could benefit many and help inspire those to restore carriers that would normally be considered "too far gone"

another benefit would be that we can all compare armour from carrier to carrier, country to country.

if you decide you wish to help could you post up what Mk, maker and type your carrier is. ie carrier No.1 Mk1 (WOLSLEY 1941).

dimensions would include thickness of plate, rivet size, and position of any special components/fittings on the plate.

Richard
