Default Sherman Replica

An elaborate replica constructed on a Grant tank chasis for the Miramax WW2 film " The Great Raid".

The film was made approx two years agon in Queensland Australia

Hope it is of interest

Campbell, the first pictures of this replica raised some eyebrows on the Sherman Register mailing list. A new, previously unknown Sherman in Australia?!? It turned out to be this convincing replica. I'm only hoping the M3 Medium it was constructed on wasn't complete....

Yes its a convincing replica. I think the actual vehicle hull was cut down prior to the upper deck being made.

I'll try and find some more shots of it, and the donor vehicle which I'll post

I think the donor vehicle was a grant running chasis, no upper superstructure or turret etc.

There was another chasis there, not running which the movie company bought for spares
