There is a new book out dealing with the Regimental History of the Royal Canadian Regiment, entitled “Establishing a Legacy: The History of the Royal Canadian Regiment 1883-1953” by Bernd Horn.

Does this book have any information on their brief, and quickly abandoned landing at Brest, France, in 1940 where The Regiment reached Chateaubriant before turning back to the coast and back to England?

Am asking because I want to find out exactly which units took the first CMP trucks into action in 1940.

Thanks,
Hanno
