Default C60 u bolts

Need the two u bolts for the drivers side front springs to axel housing on a C60. One is longer than the other. Would like NOS but any with GOOD threads would be OK. I am in Brisbane Australia. Postage in Australia would be OK, but international might not be practiable.
Ken Thomas.

Rather than NOS or used, why not visit your local heavy truck shop (that has a suspension/spring shop)? My local one can bend up U bolts on the spot for a very reasonable price.

Default Most heavy spring shops can make them

Hi Ken

You probably have thought of this, when ever I've need a U bolt for springs shocks body mount bolts, it was do a drawing full size and head to the nearest heavy truck spring shop. Of course you are looking for a shop that actually re-arches and make up springs not just replace shop.

The cost of having them make is probably less than having them shipped.

Fll size drawing or if you have the old one even broken they should be able to set you up. Last time I did this the guy to me back into the parts bins, they had shelves of straight rods threaded at both ends different diameter and different lenght. They even had a chart on the wall with a hook at the top. Guy hung my old U bolt on the hook then just read off what the straight length between the threads. He picked the correct length heated it and bent it around the correct diameter mandrel.

Call around and just ask if they bend up U bolts.

Hope this helps.

Cheers Phil

PS While I typed my long response, Grant said it less words.
