We tossed one back recently. I hope this trend continues - we have more than enough free loaders that take advantage of our uber-liberal refugee/immigration policy.

Tell you what. I'll take your coward, and swap you three pissing punks...

Default Some D-Day facts.

The first troops to land on D-Day were the pathfinders of the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion who landed a little after midnight on June 6th.

Canadian troops of the first wave were the only assault troops to take their objectives.

The only troops to land on the beaches and reach the final objective on the 6th of June was a troop of Sherman tanks commanded by Lt. McCormick belonging to C Sqn of the 1st Hussars.

It was Canadian minesweepers which cleared the approaches to Omaha beach.

Canadian troops of 7CIB were the first to capture their D-Day objectives on the 7th of June.

Default The 100 days.

In the final 100 days of the First World War the Canadian Corps fought six major battles. They advanced a total of 86 miles and liberated 500 square miles of territory and 228 cities, towns and villages including the cities of Cambrai, Denain, Valenciennes and Mons. They engages and defeated 47 German Divisions and captured 31,537 prisoners, 623 heavy and field guns, 336 trench mortars and 2842 machine guns. The Canadians suffered a total of 45,830 casualties.

For the entire war, the duration of Americans operations lasted only 47 days. In that time they fought only two major battles. They employed more that six times as many troops as the Canadian Corps did in the 100 days; they suffered more than twice as many casualties and accomplished less than half of what the Canadian Corps did.
