Default Star on hood

Hello All,

Another question about the WWII canadian jeeps. According for your archives, when the star appeared on the hood and there were still a white or yellow circle around this star? I've heard that the yellow circle was painted only on the jeeps that have fought in North Africa, Sicily and the beginning of Italy campaign.

I'm waiting for your comments and pictures.

Cheers

Default stars

There is some discussion of stars on Canadian vehicles in the Bill Gregg books. Some pictures are there with the stars all crooked and misshapen.

2 of his series are still available at low cost from the Shilo Artillery Museum. Or, alternatively, you can spend outrageous markups on them through e-bay or Amazon.
They are currently priced at $10 and $7, which is a bargain.
