Default 31 st Alberta light horse

Looking for info on a exercise that they conducted in the Bella Coola area of B.C in late 1944 and early 1945 .
Veteran Paul Bonan asked me about the exercise as he had participated in it.
The Scheme consisted of them conducting winter training and resupply moving across rough terrain using whatever was at hand.
at one point He stated they dropped a wagon to them from a D.C 3 .
They wagon was dissasembled to be dropped unfortunatly they had dropped a wheel somwhere elseand it had taken a few days to recover it.
Paul was the radio operator for the exercise. Horses carried all his radio equipment.
to re suppy the horses they had dropped hay without para chutes.
What resources are out their to find out about this?
I know some peaple will look up info as a living but I am just doing this to help out a vet(former Carrier Driver)
Jeff
