Default Chevrolet C60L with 10.50-16 tires

Hello

One among my friends sent to me a pic of a C60L with cab number13 which (following what he told) was intended to be built for australian army. Of course the system which held the spare wheel is particular for these australian CMP.

I will be wonder to know the true designation of these kind of truck and if the mount of 10.50X16 was a factory mount.

regards Serge

I always thought the Aussie CMP's always had the rectangular roof hatch and not the round one as shown.

Default Interesting

And it has the Canadian, not Australian front shell with the rhomboidal vents.

Hello

I thank you for your answer , but if it's a canadian truck , has this truck a specific designation after the pattern C60L ?

most of the 16inch wheel models in this longer wheelbase had a rating of 30cwt and not 3 ton. BUT most of these to my knowledge had 134inch wheelbases not 158 inch. so it is a puzzle

I found this factory photo of a 13 cab LWB 'office' on 16inch rims. This photo came from Service publications Factory Photo CD. Note the factory fitted spare wheel mount!

My 1945 C60L with ARN 77821 has a round roof hatch. It left the army in 1956 after a rebuild, and has had only one careful owner since then ,so everything is still original.
I have only ever seen one other round hatch C60L and that was in Dalby Queensland about 30 years ago.
My truck and the one I saw both have/had 20 inch wheels.
