Adam:

The Lorne Scots, during WWII, served in every area of operations that the Canadian Army did, except South East Asia.

They provided Defense and Employment Platoons (D&E) in order to provide protection to higher formation headquarters. The unit did not deploy as an infantry battalion as such.

So, they were D&E for all five Divisions of the Canadian Army, as well as higher formations, i.e. Corps and Army.

So, in order to satisfy your query, you have to determine just what Division, Corps or Army you want for your vehicle. I have the reference material at hand when you decide just which it is you wish to depict.

Having said all of the above, I must remind you, from a purist's point of view, that your vehicle rolled off the GM Oshawa line on 13 Jun 44 as a WIRE-5, and as such would not have been employed by the Lorne Scots. That's why I had it depicted as HQ 2Div Sigs.

What is your hook with the Lornes?

Regards, and take care of the 'ol Gin Palace!
