New member - U.C. No.2 Mk II*
I finally got my hands on my retirement project (20 or 25 years early). That's OK, at least I'll have time to complete and drive it before I'm too old to climb in.
The engine and transmission are missing but I think I have tracked down a set from a family friend (mid 40's Ford truck drivetrain). The armour has been replaced but the carrier did come with most of the original front armour that I will put back in eventually. Other bits and pieces are also missing but overall I feel pretty good about what I have. I've learned a few things already on this forum and will be sure to ask many questions in the future. |

Ah this was the carrier that was on ebay a while back, welcome to the forum fella. if you want to sell that spare front plate i would be interested as the carrier iam looking at has a large portion of that bit missing.

Hi Greg and welcome, looks like a great first project. You've got more than the basics there and you will always get your questions answerd here.
Good luck and post lots of pic for us. Colin Jones. |

Attached is a picture of my information tag with serial numbers, etc. I understand the * after Mk2* means built in Canada. How do I figure out what the CT number is? Also, is there any way to trace the history of this carrier?
I did get it from EBay a couple of months ago. I thought it nice to see a carrier moving north across the 49th parallel instead of the other way. It's only fair, the guy I got it from already has one, plus at last two other WWII vehicles (just the ones he let me see that is). |
