Im now reading the Independant out of England.
They are saying that a military explosive was used,
that the charges were heavy but very pooly placed
(very thankfully). What more are they saying on the other
side of the pond. This thing is sounding very syrian
in nature. What have you all heard???

There was a report here, that their big break through came from the people on the bus.

Apparently one of the people on the bus was the bomber.

Another story was he was using the bus as an excape route, when for some reason he (I presume it was a he) could not make it into the underground. The story reported was he was trying to negate his bomb when it went off.

Like all stories produced by the press, who often have scant facts, these comments may not be correct. However if they are true, then they show that the training may have left much to be desired, THANK GOODNESS.

The British people have travelled and survived greater problems than this one. One thing these people should understand, is that British Intellgence is amongst the best in the world.

Whilst there are many who would not agree with me, I think we have to play this game the way they understand best. Putting them in the dock only gives their cause greater coverage.

I for one would like to see them shipped to their relatives in little boxes, with no knowledge to the public.

Good on ya Britts, hold your heads up high, once again you have shown the world the sign of dignity.

I've learned thru my own net that if forensic studies determine that Semtex was the explosive agent, then one can assume that Al-Quaida was responsible.

On the other hand, if forensics determine that RDX was an explosive factor, then the "Real" IRA might be implicated.

Food for thought.

A very good job by the British Police, just goes to show that dedication and professional approach will win every time.

Of course another big task, is to find the people who were behind these attacks. These guys were only kids I believe, someone must have helped them, and trained them.

Down here it showed one of the bombers father being interviewed, he was totally devestated. I mean to loose ones sons is bad, but under those circumstances, I reaaly do not know how I would cope.

History shows that good will previal over evil, and I hope they catch every single one, and send them back to their chief in little boxes.

How many have really been destroyed, proberly will never been known. The loved ones who are left behind, who will suffer for the rest of their life.

Many of us on this forum, have seen this type of situation before, and it seems that no sooner to we put one problem to bed, than another replaces it.

Regards

Default LATER NEWS!

The British newspapers have now revealed photos and names of the four bombers, plus they know the Ringleader, who has probably left the country, and also the nakme of the bombmaker and where the bombs were made. The 4th Bomber, the Jamaican-born person, converted to Islam, married an English girl who had also converted, and has one child and another en vetre sa mere..i.e. his wife is expecting again. There is a photo of this bastard with a rucksack on his back with the bomb inside.

So, our marvellous British Police and security agencies have excelled themselves.

WOW!

I've been watching BBC on the tele, and it seems these might have been "real" bombs which failed to detonate properly. The plus side of this is that they've already got two suspicious buggers outside of Whitehall & No.10 Downing, and the others are running loose (rather than being terrorists turned into paste). Catch them and we have a lead to the asshole running this operation. Of course, I say "we", but I suspect the SAS might get there first...

Default POLICE SHOOT SUSPECTED BOMBER!!!!

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/050722/140/fnxi9.html

5 shots went into the person!

Three police officers ran after him and shot him when they thought he was going to detonate a bomb, the witness saying when the officers were on top of him.

Yes, their H&K MP-5s are particularly good for that... ... one down, four to go...

Eye witnesses seem to say that he had left a bag on one train, which started to smoke, and then ran for another train breaking through a security screen on the way. Its only speculation, but it's suspected that he was a potential suicide bomber. Instructions in this situation, just clarifed on the TV news, is to shoot to kill with a headshot, as shots to the body could detonate any explosives he is carrying.
It's also suspicious that he was wearing a baggy puffer jacket on a hot day, possibly concealing something.

Also just stated that yesterday's bombs possibly didn't explode properly because the explosive was old and therefore ineffective.

Just saw the BBC news conference and they pretty much confirmed that the bombs yesterday were meant to kill, but failed to detonate. In addition, they have pics of four suspects through CCTV, and they shot one dead this morning (unkown if he's one of the four). They'll get these bastards, and after that, hopefully, the morons orchestrating all of this. Send them to the tower!

My souvenir London subway tube stop tray, which shows all the stops doesn't show The Oval station.Could this be the Elephant & Castle station near the Imperial War Museum which has an oval split elevator to the upper station?

You get caught no judge no jury no trial just dead.
So far its a message that has not gotten across.
Im reading alot, but have they said were the charges
to old set up poorly or were these people just inept?
Im glad to see that no more people were hurt

1. The Oval station is on the Northern Line (the black line) after Kennington, and is directly next to The Oval cricket ground owned by the Duchy of Cornwall, and yes The Oval is oval-shaped!

2. The nearest station to the IWM is I think Lambeth North on the Bakerloo Line (brown).

A suspect has been arrested in Stockwell, just down the Northern Line again.

Most likely, and the other discreet and unpublicised govt groups are probably amongst it too.

One hopes the vocal, liberalist and overly PC groups are now going to shut up about how we need and must welcome these people into the country.

You will note the BBC has been told to toe the PC line, they may not call the perpetrators "terrorists", but simply "bombers".

Oh dear.

I have momentarily misplaced an excellent article, published recently, by a respected and highly educated Muslim political commentator; once found I will place it here. However, the fundamental cornerstone of this religion, he says, is simple. You are converted and have your waking life ruled to the minute or you are to die, there are no options, concessions or middle ground and dialogue doesn't enter into it.

I have read the thread with interest and thank those who have posted messages of support and concern, we know who and where our friends are.

The W.A.S.P. issue is interesting; from where I sit it seems that the other factions are officially encouraged and supported in demonstrating or following their culture, origin and customs; however, for some of us, a similar overtly presentation becomes regarded as almost far right xenophobic racialism and on the line of illegality.

That's completely fair and equable isn't it?

Maybe it's just me. . . . . . . . . . :

Oh dear, its raining (well, fairly hissing down) at Beltring, http://www.met-office.gov.uk/weather...lsouthern.html let's not hear any moans about the dust. . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Default London's been a blast

I'm currently writing this from London, in an inner city suburb not too far from the bombing site's. As revealed in an earlier post, I have relatives from London who lived through the Blitz of 1940 and their attitude has helped them (and many other Londoners) to get through the latest events (Bombers? Up (thrrrrp) 'Em!). in fact, we were a little concerned because of the sensationlist reporting of the media, but were reassured it was not all that bad. In fact, it has been quite fun (No, serious!!) We were sitting in a pub when the news reports of the failed bomb attempts were broadcast on the news. Initially the news was received in a hush, but when it was announced that one of the bombers they were looking for could be identified by a large burn mark on the back of his top and singed hair, the whole pub broke up laughing. Oh what a lovely war!
