Going to a good home...
I am facinated with the color differences between digital pictures taken by the same camera.....
On the long shots the wheels look OD green and I know they are I have seen them...... yet on the close up they show up beige almost sand colour..... I know Steve did not switch them. As a budding photographer...... I take pictures my wife is the photographer... I am curious to figure out what happened....... What kind of camera used..... was flash used..... different time of day or shade versus sunlight..... do you do a white balance...? different background color...... black versus snow white..? any comments / advice Steve...? Bob ??????

Hello Bob
It was in the back of my truck (black) outside in snow, light overcast afternoon daylight, no flash, camera was Sanyo xacti (which is really a small digital movie camera though it does take 10 mpixl stills) , all settings auto. The only balance was my own as I was on ice on one leg as the dog was yanking on the other one, holding a tape measure and trying to focus while keeping myself for the most part out of the shot. (as me in a picture is far worse than an empty landscape.) Cheese!!

Strange results.
The OD green paint has shown to be very difficult to photograph and reproduce even in professional magazines.
Weird or what !!! Bob

Are you saying.....
..... Steve was loaded..... I mean over lubricated when he took the pictures.
My interest is how the light seems to be affecting what shade is seen by the eye and/or the camera. A while back I stumbled on a web site selling USA paint "Ordinance" ??? The had complaints about the OD shade people had received vs what was expected. They showed a series of pictures of the same vehicle.... 44 Dodge 6x6 .... and all the different shade that were captured by the same camera between early morning sun....mid day sun...... sun light from behind or from the front and on various cloudy days....... same vehicle looked sand coloured in some photos others looked almost a British bronze green. Trying to understand and remember what approach works best to capture and display trucks at there best advantage with my camera. Bob
