Flathead V8 updated design water pumps
Hello Guys,
I don't know how your Carriers are behaving but mine has a tendency to run hot. Especially with warm weather and tough going underground. An Austrian friend brought to my attention updated design waterpumps that have a 30 to 40 % increase in flow. Anybody any experience with these pumps? Cheers, Marc |

That looks like a very interesting fix
Hi Marc
That looks like an interesting fix for a common problem with pre 48 Ford flat heads. I would love to see an actual flow test of the difference of flow rated vs the temperature drop through the radiator. I'm sure everybody with a Ford CMP or Carrier will be waiting to hear how this fix goes. Cheers Phil

Pumps
Chris' F15 has a pair and Max also uses them on his F15A. Seem to run fine although Max has driven his far more than Chris' truck.

Off topic, Phil. How far from Corinth, VT are you? New guy on the Carrier forum has a Mk 1 chassis that has had some good old fashioned Appalachian re-engineering.
