So, I see a gear on the diff pinion. Is this part of the original Muff coupling? I've never seen any part of the LP2 Muff coupling, other than photos of the complete assy. in place.
I can't check in the middle of my post, but I assume you are new. Welcome aboard Jye.

There were 3 types of diff couplings used on the LP2/2A Carriers.
This particular one at the time only had one half of the Muff type on the diff, and he had located a Carrier gearbox with only one half of the Hardy-Spicer rubber disc type. Despite requests on MLU at the time, I don't think the owner ever found a matched pair of any type of coupler.
