Default Cab 12 Door Handles and Bonnet Latches

Questions always questions...........

Chaps, I was wondering if anyone has some good pictures of the Door handles on Ford Cab 12's.

Also the position of the spring latches for the bonnet as I thought I had them in the right location on my truck but now I'm not so sure........

Default Sorces for Door Handles

Hi Tony

Though this source is a little far away from you, OK its the other side of the world, http://macsautoparts.com/search.asp?...ndle&x=11&y=15 but thought it might be interesting. There are some very close matches to what I've seen on both Ford and Chevy Pat 11 & 12.

Only problem is all this stuff is chromed.

Please let us know what resources for reproductions you turn up in Oz.

Cheers Phil

The items from Macs are exact repros...
When I restored my 12 cab 15 years ago, I noted that the Ford emblem on the hood was actually a trunk (boot) badge from a 1930's Ford car. I don't recall which model at the moment. My original emblem WAS chrome, painted over....
Same went for the door handles.
Once again the ingenuity and neccessity of the times shows through. Ford wasn't about to re-invent the wheel while they still had stock and tooling on hand of civvy parts which were available...

Also, Dirk Leegwater has them NOS - check lwdparts.com for current availability.

The bonnet latches I bought NOS from Brian Asbury.
