Default Vickers AA Carrier

This Vickers 40-mm AA Carrier is preserved in Thailand. It is an extremely rare variant of the highly succesful Vickers-Armstrong export product, the Vickers 6-ton tank. In 1933 Thailand purchased 10 units of the single turret type, and a further order was placed in 1935 for an unknown amount. Most likely, this AA Carrier was part of the 1935 order.

Here´s hoping it will not only be preserved, but possibly restored.

Check the The Overvalwagen Forum > Vickers AA Carrier. The survivor at Saraburi is listed there, plus four other survivors!

Default Where are these?

Hi Hanno,

Could you find out where all of these vehicles are as I am about to transfer to Thailand for the rest of the year, and will look them up and post detailled pictures here.

danks Meneer Spoelstra

Hallo Pedr,

Follow the link to The Overvalwagen Forum > Vickers AA Carrier and you will see a list of locations of preserved vehicles. You could also contact "Simon" who posted some of the pictures on the internet. If you click on his name you will get his e-mail address.

Good luck & have fun!
Hanno
