Looks like fun
There can be few more satisfying things than making something like that run again.
I see my video of Howard's F15 pops up there too in related videos. But I also saw something interesting - have you seen the French video of the F60T? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rACc6...eature=related

Old U tube video....
Hi Hanno
That's an old video... 2 or 3 years old at least...... truck belongs to Alain Bedard in the Montreal area..... it is a bit of an odd ball truck.... I exchanged quite a few emails with Alain..... his rolling frame lokks like an early cab 11 with no provision for the later fuel filter in the frame ..underneath the driver...... frame is not even drilled for it..... ....but the cab fitted is a Ford cab with obviously no engine cover....... still running a 216 not sure if original..... I believe he would sell it if anyone is interested...... contact me anyone if interested. Still a few treasures lurking around..... just need the luck to stumble upon them. Bob

Cab 12.....?
Strangely the front axle wheels where not spinning....... could driving in 2 wheel drive explain getting stuck...?
Lot to be said for pciking up enough momentum to bounce through obstacles.... facinating to see the front bumper/frame twist when the truck navigates the ruts in the road..... Refreshing to see the old trucks in their intended environment instead of the parade ceremony..... Bob

Hi Guys, i am the one who screams in the background with the camera.
Its my first post here.... Several years passed by and we decided to bring the truck at my home so i can spend the time to fix it. Yes, its sorta very odd, Ford cab over a chev body. We are not responsible of its poor condition, altough we drive it often in the woods and sometimes hit some trees. The only good thing about it is that it made it to the 21th century still on its 4 wheels, and running. I will post some pictures and questions about it soon -battery location/tray -various brakets purpose on it (flags,...) within the past few days i fixed the electrical system, converted to 12v. I have few schematics but none matches the dash. There is 2 "functions" that are not present on any of the schematics i have, one is "auto pulse" and the other is "clear headlights isolation".... I also opened the speedometer and managed to unseize it and making it look good... i am always stumped about this truck everytime i look at it, and surprisingly enough, there is not even a single bolt or nuts that broke on me yet. fwiw i am electronic engineer and do a lot of mechanic on antique cars, BMW to name one. Thanks for watching. |

"i am not sure if any of thoses realy participated at the war on the field, they where amo hauler at first. WW2 period." About your other questions. The switch for "Autopulse" was for an electric fuel pump that was fitted to trucks usually destined for tropical service, as the electric fuel pump would overcome vapour lock in hot climactic conditions. My understanding is that very few trucks were fitted with this for Canadian service.

We went to your place few years ago, i was the guy with Alain, i was interested into your Fairbank Morse paf paf motor that was laid down on your work bench...lol... We are now "co-owners" of the truck. Alain and i are working on. We sure do have several questions about it since its quite an odd mix of weird parts. Thanks Bob ! |
